The Gorenje WA 583 is a washing machine designed for household use. It offers modern laundry care, saving water, electricity and detergent. Before using it for the first time, you need to remove the transport protection and connect it to the water and electricity supply. In this article, we will explain how to do that and how to operate the machine properly.
Removing the Transport Protection
The transport protection is a set of bolts and brackets that secure the drum and other parts of the machine during transportation. Remove the back panel of the machine by unscrewing four screws.
Locate the four transport bolts on the back of the drum. They are marked with red stickers.
Use a wrench to unscrew them and pull them out.
Remove the plastic spacers and rubber washers from the holes.
Plug the holes with the plastic caps provided in the accessory bag.
Replace the back panel and screw it back on.
Connecting the Machine to Water and Electricity
The machine needs to be connected to a cold water supply and a grounded power outlet. To connect it, follow these steps:
Attach the inlet hose to the water tap. Make sure it is tight and does not leak.
Attach the other end of the inlet hose to the valve on the back of the machine. Make sure it is tight and does not leak.
Place the drain hose in a sink or a drain pipe. Make sure it does not touch or dip into the water.
Plug the power cord into a grounded power outlet. Do not use an extension cord or an adapter.
